You got that right.  Who better to teach Doyle about it?  Which, I'm sure, is what our esteemed authors had in mind.

Exactly. I'll weep uncontrollably for days if anything happens to Schultz.

Be careful what you wish for. Bass has had to restrain Schultz a couple times, but someday Schultz might do something in the heat of the moment that he gets brought up to a Mast for - especially if the platoon CO isn't around. If you will recall, Bass himself has been to the Mast thrice.

True, but by that same token, it would be extremely fitting for Schultz.  After all, we know him as hard nosed and have never really heard much of his past and whether or not he's had the same problem.  Somehow, the idea of another situation with the Skinks and having to deal with a major issue of another obnoxious leader (think Dan or David mentioned in another thread about this in the new Force Recon book) could very well lead him to run into temper issues.

yes but Kerr will help him adapt and by teaching him Kerr is fighting his own demons, which is a very human characteristic that we all have and have done ourselves one time or another.

Exactly why Kerr is one of my favorite characters. He seems most human to me. Well, next to Doyle.
