I have to confess, you are not the first to point out that mistake. There are others perhaps even more egregious you may find as you read along but I won't mention them here and spoil the thrill of discovery. Anyway, we don't mind it at all when readers catch glitches. But one guy did write us a simpering, arrogant email accusing us of contributing to the deaths of U. S. military personnel by what we'd written in these books. Between us David and I have more than 6 years service in Vietnam and 26 years total in the active military (this guy has none) and we're trying to get today's military people killed in Iraq and Afghanistan? I suggested he share his observations with the guys on this site and he called me a coward for siccing the Starfist legion on his ass. Our correspondence (mine, not David's) escalated immediately thereafter so acrimoniously he complained to google that we were "abusing" him!
Is he still bsing you and David still?
Man, I fail to see the connection between your books getting soldiers killed. In my view, your books show officers actually caring about their soldiers and trying to improvise whenever general or admiral screws up the campaign. Also they try to come up with backup plans too including Chang caring about the FIST.
