Well, gentlemen, you are to be congratulated for thinking seriously about his matter.  Yes, there may be some very slight resemblance between the Skinkeroos and feudal Japan.  Dr. Gobels, you haven't met him yet, may be on to something.  Read on, fellas, read on!

I saw that... You're Evil, Herr Finucane with the terminal 'e.'

Herr Teufelpanzer.  When did they release you from the fires of Hades to come back here and aggravate, torture, and tickle us?

I've always found the 'skink' books in the series the most fun.  They represent one of those implacable enemies modern fighters are forced to fight.  The skinks are (or appear to be) simple guerrilla warfare tacticians using simple but effective not technical weapons.  And that is what makes them great enemies for books because the main characters by what ever plot device you choose are forced to meet them toe-to toe in the mud as it were.

Japan used the same of very similar tactics during World War 2. As well as the Vietcong and North Vietnam Army during the Vietnam war. Come to think of it so did the irish when England invaded Ireland. And so did the U.S. during the revolution. And so did the Gauls, Germans, English and Isrealies during the Roman era.

I've been away cause of school.
