Finished Wings of Hell
Posted: 02 Jan 09 6:24 AM
Man o'man was this book a great read! Although I thought the war on Haulover was going to take 3 books I was still happy with the ending. Love how Dean jr. was brought into the series. I have been wanting the authors to continue the Hway saga ever since her character was introduced in book 2. And now Charlie...poor, poor, Charlie will have to make the choice between two loves. One of which is the mother of his child. Although I really liked his advice to Dean on the fatherhood matter.

But now I am saddened. After reading the series from the very beginning, you get to know these guys. Their characters are so well defined that you related on some level to them personally, their loves, loses and families. They become almost like family to you and you long to hear of their next great adventure. But now the family reunion is over and I have to wait until book 14 to see what will happen to our beloved 3rd Platoon.

Just bought it today! Gonna read it tommorw, I really want to begin to read it, but I also want to savor it. Dean Jr! Wow, I forgot all about that, well then again I don't have books 1-4 on hand with me. You know, 3rd platoon reminds me a lot of the mini series: "Band of Brothers" and also the book, which is much better then the T.V. series. Yes, they do feel like family to me, kinda creepy..................

OWEN!!!!! (Sorry, Trying to be random and funny at the same time lol)

The Prime Master read the message again. This time, by the time he finished reading, he smiled beatifically. The message included a great deal of information about the Earthman Army and airpower and their tactics. This was inteligence that would serve the Emperor's army well when it next encountered the Earthman Army. As it most assuredly would.......
