An elete army unit appeared in, I think, Firestorm. But they wouldn't be mentioned much in a series about Marines regardless. After all, Starfist is about an expeditionary Marine unit, not about the army.

The scene that I can really remember, a really memboral part of "Wings" is when the confederation army is stopped by the Skinks and all the troops gasp in horror as they watch the Navy Raptors retreat. I had this one soldier with his helmet off, and he said, "Oh fuc." as him and others gasped. I don't know why that part of the book is so memorble to me lol.
The Prime Master read the message again. This time, by the time he finished reading, he smiled beatifically. The message included a great deal of information about the Earthman Army and airpower and their tactics. This was inteligence that would serve the Emperor's army well when it next encountered the Earthman Army. As it most assuredly would.......

At least the army was able to hold off the Skinks for a while with the artillery barrage and reinforcements from the 34TH FIST.
