Military History

Since yours truley is a military history buff, I decided to have one place to discuss historical warfare :) Ok let's start.

The Napoleonic Wars, are they considered one long war? Also does it argue as the first world war as french colonies were also at war?

The Prime Master read the message again. This time, by the time he finished reading, he smiled beatifically. The message included a great deal of information about the Earthman Army and airpower and their tactics. This was inteligence that would serve the Emperor's army well when it next encountered the Earthman Army. As it most assuredly would.......

There is an entire era of warfare collectively called "Napoleonic Wars," encompasing more than just what Nappy was involved in. Napoleon's wars themselves didn't involve Asia, Australia, South America, or Africa other than Egypt, so calling them "World Wars" is stretching matters a bit. As for North America, the War of 1812 was a sideshow to Napoleon's final war.

But you see, the brits invaded the spanish colonies when Spain was an ally of France. They invaded the area around La Platia Basin in Brazil.

Napoleon also invaded Egypt in 1792. Which failed

There was also fighting in the indian ocean by a french sponsored goverment which the East Indian company destroyed.

You know, it's kind of funny, world war 2 in Europe is a little similar to what Napoleon was trying to do. He wanted to take over all of Europe and Hitler wanted to do just the same, expect Hitler was a madman who murdered millions of people for no reason.

I wonder what would of happened if France did infact invade England.

Hell that's a larger force then what we saw in StarFist 13. The French really were gonna invade, but England prevailed via naval power
