Military Weapons

Since 99.9 percent of the people on here were or are in the military can you please anwer this question.

Is the AR15 considered an Assualt Rifle? I ask because I watched the news a while ago and when Obama was on his tours talking about health care, this man carried with him an AR15. The police watched him and made damn sure that it was not loaded.

It wasn't loaded, but is that weapon considered an assault rifle?

The Prime Master read the message again. This time, by the time he finished reading, he smiled beatifically. The message included a great deal of information about the Earthman Army and airpower and their tactics. This was inteligence that would serve the Emperor's army well when it next encountered the Earthman Army. As it most assuredly would.......

Everybody, don't be shy about correcting me if I'm wrong on this. I think that, at least in this instance, the AR15 is a non-automatic version of the M16. Also, I think the AR15 was a step in the development of the M16.

Skink, I don't own any rifles, not even a b-b gun. The AR15 is something I've heard about, but never seen. And the Marines didn't have the M16 when I was in.

What did you carry in Nam then? Did you have the M1 Grand?

Um, is there a reason why you don't own rifles?
